1974 Datsun B210 Hatchback

Time period - 1979-1980

After the wreck of the Sunbird, I inherited dads ugly little Datsun B210. Looked like a cross between a banana and a razorback hog. I knew I was lucky to have anything with wheels and I really appreciated it, but it needed....tweaking. So, I put some cool wheels (also custom painted by me), jacked up the rear end, put some cool stripes on it and installed a groovy 8 track Am/FM stereo system. Admittedly it was a pig in lipstick but it was now one cool banana!

One day I was at the Sonic after school (where I wasn’t supposed to be) having a ball showing off, popping the clutch and bouncing the front end up and down, until I got stranded with a broken axle. Dad was not impressed when he came to fetch me, but as always, he was cool about it and even let me help replace the axle. Was a fun car but my eyes were always open for the bigger better deal........
