1981 Kawasaki LZ440 LTD

The years were 1985-1986

So, I got to OSU and rented an apartment close to campus. I bought a 10-speed bicycle to get to the center of campus where my classes were. I noticed a motorcycle parking lot next to the bike parking and decided the motorcycle route was much cooler. The hunt was on. I bought this cool bike and had a ball thinking I was the Fonz pulling onto campus at the admiration of everyone. I used this in Stillwater well into my senior year and, then one snowy day, someone pulled in front of me and I had to lay it over, right under their rocker panel. I then became a little concerned about the safety Well, next thing you know I was visiting with mom and dad in Texas, spring of 1986. They needed my keys to move my car (duh big mistake). Next thing I knew, mom was all over me. "John Rankin what's this Kawasaki key? If its yours, I want it gone as soon as you get home!" So what could I say but, "Yes ma'am". Kawasaki go bye bye. I already knew as usual, she was right.
