Collector-Grade – One of 2,044 built in 1991 (685 in Bright Red) and one of only 6,922 built in total production 1990-1995. The major hallmark of a ZR-1 in its “Jewelry Box” or engine bay. The ultra rare LT5 5.7L V8 is a true marvel of its era. It is the only 32 valve, dual overhead cam motor offered in a Corvette until the new Z06 arrived in 2023. Going all out, Chevy partnered with Lotus Racing to re-engineered the Chevy small block. The motor was then assembled with precision by Mercury Marine Racing known for building high-end GM based marine racing engines. The result is big American power, but with a European four-cam multi-valve setup that makes sure it's always responsive. It's truly a special powerhouse, and so great to have the numbers-matching unit in this low-mileage classic. A separate power key lets you unleash the full fury of this 375 horsepower V8, and the six-speed manual transmission, an adjustable fully independent suspension, four-wheel power disc brakes, ZR-1's special widebody fenders and wider performance tires gives you the feeling of total control.
